Netflix has renewed the fan-favorite drama Outer Banks for a fifth and final season, ahead of its Season 4 Part 2 premiere on November 7.
Writing for the final season is currently underway. Season 5 details and additional information will be shared at a later time.
Outer Banks: Season 4 - Part 1 debuted at #1 in the global top 10 English TV following its release on October 10 and has remained in the top ten for three weeks, reaching the top 10 in 74 countries, leading up to the release of Part 2 on November 7. Across all four seasons, Outer Banks has spent a total of 27 weeks in the global Top 10 English TV List.
In a message to the fans on the final season renewal, co-creators & executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke said:
"Dispatch to all Pogues:
Seven years ago, in the summer of 2017, we came across a photo of teenagers on a beach at dusk during a power outage. That photo sparked an idea for a story of four best friends who only want to have a good time all the time. From this beginning, we imagined a mystery that would lead to a five-season journey of adventure, treasure hunting, and friendship.
At the time, seven years ago, it seemed impossible that we would really get to tell the whole five season story, but here we are, at the end of our fourth season, still chopping away.
The fourth season was our longest and hardest - but most rewarding - to produce. The season ends with a feature length episode, which we think is our best, most powerful episode. We hope you feel the same way.
Now, with a little sadness, but also excitement, we're putting Season Four behind us, and are turning to Season Five, in which we hope to bring our beloved Pogues home in the way we imagined and planned years ago. Season Five will be our last season, and we think it will be our best yet. We hope you'll join us for one more paddle out to the surf break.
P4L,
Josh, Jonas, and Shannon"
About OUTER BANKS Season 4
Following last season's 18-month flash-forward showing Wes Genrette's proposal for the Pogues to find Blackbeard's treasure, Season 4 takes us back in time to the lead-up of that moment. After finding the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues return to the OBX and commit to having a "normal" life. They've built themselves a new safe haven, officially dubbed "Poguelandia 2.0", where they live together and run a fairly successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop. But after some financial setbacks, John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo take Wes up on his offer, drawn back into the "G" game for a whole new adventure. But before they know it, they're well in over their heads, with dangerous new enemies hot on their heels racing them to the treasure. Meanwhile, their problems are only growing, and they're forced to question their past, present, and future - who they really are, has it all been worth it, and how much are they willing to risk?

All six seasons of Gossip Girl are coming to Netflix in the US on Oct. 29.
Created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the beloved series — and its ensemble cast — became a cultural phenomenon during its run from 2007 to 2012, with its rich drama, standout music, and distinctive fashion. So tell us, are you a Blair or a Serena? A Nate or a Dan? Or are you Chuck Bass?
“I’m excited for fans to be able to hang out with their old friends and go on that epic coming-of-age journey once again,” Schwartz tells Tudum. “And for anyone who’s never seen the show — welcome to the Upper East Side!”
The enduring resonance of the show, now more than a decade since it ended, is a “real surprise and delight,” adds Savage. “I love coming across a new meme or an Instagram post that doesn’t even need to reference the names of the characters or the show — it’s just Blair Waldorf holding shopping bags in front of Pont Alexandre III. And the fan art is amazing — the family Thanksgiving videos to Jason Derulo’s ‘Whatcha Say’? Thanks, internet!”
Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time viewer, settle in on the steps of the Met and keep reading to catch up with the students of Constance Billard and St. Jude’s. Gossip Girl primarily focuses on the complicated entanglements of the young and privileged as they betray one another to get ahead, and centers on the luxury lifestyles of the elite prep school students of Constance Billard and St. Jude’s. Throughout the series, Serena and Blair — also known as S and B — get into the messiest of fights, while navigating friendship, romance, and social status. Gossip Girl herself aptly compares their relationship to World War III in knee socks. As for the identity of Gossip Girl … well, that’s one of the show’s biggest secrets

Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) definitely isn’t done with Rome because Emily in Paris has been renewed for a fifth season.
“We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris!” creator Darren Star tells Tudum.
Season 4 of the series saw the ex-pat spark up a romance with a handsome Italian fashion scion and then move into an Italian apartment to open a Rome office for Agence Grateau. But that doesn’t mean the name of the show is changing. “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome,” says Star. “It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris, but she’s going to have a presence in Rome.”
Sending Emily to Italy to open up a new office was borne out of Star’s desire to “stay ahead of the audience and take them to unexpected places,” and prove “the show has the ability to have a bigger footprint.”
Collins announced the Season 5 news during an appearance on Good Morning America, and tells Tudum she’s looking forward to seeing what happens between her character and new beau Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini).
“Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance,” she says. “We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.”
Star confirms that Emily’s relationship with Marcello will be explored in Season 5, saying, “I feel like they have a real spark and a real connection and a real romantic connection. A lot of that’s going to continue to play out next season.”
Could Emily move on, or will she move back to the City of Lights?
