It’s official: Al Calderon is exiting Days of Our Lives.

The actor, who joined the long-running NBC (now Peacock) soap in early 2024 as Javi, is wrapping up his time in Salem. A source tells Deadline and confirmed that Calderon’s final scenes will air sometime in May 2026. 

Calderon's exit is due to his joining NBC's primetime serial, Brilliant Minds, for season two.

Calderon, who got his start as a contestant on The X Factor and later appeared in TV shows like Step Up: High Water and Law & Order: SVU, brought a fresh energy to the soap’s younger set. The role of Javi will be recast per reports.
