The versatile actress who graced our screens in The Young and the Restless, Sistas, and Shameless passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 66. 



Her family shared the news with a heavy heart, noting that Dee faced a stage four lung cancer diagnosis with the same “brave and fearless” spirit that defined her entire life. While her passing is a profound loss, the legacy she leaves behind is one of service, resilience, and undeniable talent.




A Life Well Lived



Before Dee became a familiar face in Hollywood, she lived a life full of discipline and adventure. She served as a U.S. Marine for six years, a chapter that undoubtedly shaped the commanding presence she brought to her roles. After that, her journey took her to Japan, where she worked as a radio DJ before eventually moving to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for the arts.




A “Restless” Career



Dee was a versatile actress who moved effortlessly between genres. From early appearances on Seinfeld and ER to more recent roles in Tyler Perry’s Sistas and the hit series Shameless, she left her mark on every project she touched.




Beyond the camera, she was also a gifted playwright and performer. Her one-woman show, Poison Gun, showcased her powerful storytelling ability, a project she continued to develop in her later years.

Tristan Rogers, the revered Australian actor most famous for bringing the character Robert Scorpio to life on the long‑running ABC soap General Hospital, passed away on August 15, 2025, following a battle with lung cancer. He was 79. The news was first reported by ABC7 Eyewitness News.







Born in Melbourne in 1946, Rogers began his acting career in Australian television—appearing in soaps like Bellbird, Number 96, The Box, and dramas like The Link Men—before transitioning to international success.




His big break came in 1980, when he joined General Hospital as Robert Scorpio. Originally intended as a brief role, his portrayal quickly resonated with audiences. He became one of daytime television’s most beloved figures, appearing across more than 1,400 episodes and pivotal storylines, including the legendary 1981 Luke and Laura wedding—still the highest‑rated hour in American soap history.







In July 2025, Rogers publicly shared that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer, expressing gratitude for fans' ongoing support while requesting privacy for himself and his family during the treatment process.







Tristan Rogers is survived by his wife, Teresa Parkerson (married since 1995), and their two children, Sara and Cale.

Tom McDermott: The Young and the Restless Alum Dies

 







The cast and crew of The Young and the Restless are deeply heartbroken over the passing of their colleague, Tom McDermott, who died in March. In a poignant tribute during the episode that aired on April 8, the show honored his memory with a tribute card. 

This card featured an image of McDermott proudly holding an Emmy award alongside the years marking his birth and death. Throughout his career, McDermott made significant contributions as both a stage manager and director, helping to shape the legacy of The Young and the Restless.

 Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Tom McDermott's family during this challenging time. May his remarkable spirit and contributions continue to inspire all who knew him. Rest in peace, Tom.
