Catherine Bach Hospitalized After Surgery — Y&R Fans Sending Love

CatherineBach Hospitalized

Beloved TV icon Catherine Bach — best known to millions as Daisy Duke from The Dukes of Hazzard — has been hospitalized following complications from a recent surgery. According to reports, the 71-year-old actress developed an embolism that doctors believe may have formed after the procedure.

The news came from Bach’s longtime friend and former co-star Ben Jones (a.k.a. “Cooter” from Dukes of Hazzard), who shared an update on Facebook. He said she was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital on an emergency basis earlier this week and that fans’ prayers and positive thoughts were appreciated.

Jones also mentioned that Catherine had to cancel a planned fan appearance at Cooter’s Place in Nashville this weekend, where she was scheduled to meet with fans. Naturally, the cancellation sparked concern, and social media quickly filled with messages of support and well-wishes.

While Catherine will always be remembered as the original Daisy Duke — denim shorts and all — fans might also recognize her from The Young and the Restless. Bach joined the CBS soap in 2012 as Anita Lawson, the scheming (and often hilarious) mother of Chelsea. She appeared off and on for several years, adding a bit of sass and sparkle to Genoa City whenever she showed up.

Her role on Y&R was a fun reminder that Bach’s talent goes way beyond her iconic southern belle charm. She brought heart, humor, and a dash of mischief to daytime TV — and longtime soap viewers instantly embraced her.

After news of her hospitalization broke, fans from both Dukes of Hazzard and Y&R flooded social media with prayers and kind words

There hasn’t been an official update yet on Catherine’s condition, but close friends say she’s receiving excellent care and is surrounded by loved ones.

Here’s hoping Catherine makes a full and fast recovery. She’s brought so much joy to TV over the years — she deserves all that love back right now.
