A Traffic Stop Goes Terribly Wrong on the Premiere Episode of "Blue Ridge: The Series"

In BLUE RIDGE: THE SERIES, Johnathon Schaech reprises his role as Sheriff Justin Wise from the movie, Blue Ridge. The six-episode procedural crime drama is set in the lush but forbidding mountains of North Carolina, where Sheriff Justin Wise, a modern-Western hero, endeavors to uphold the law while living in a small Appalachian town that time and justice has forgotten.

About the Episode: Blue Ridge sheriff Justin Wise's simple plan to meet his ex-wife Elli and daughter Maddie at school to discuss Maddie's college prospects is derailed when a suspicious traffic stop turns into a violent chase through the woods. Justin brings the suspect to the police station but is called away to the funeral of a local crime boss, where the town's age-old Wade-McGrath feud begins to boil over. Just then Justin gets shocking news: the police station has been burned to the ground. Justin and his deputies, Maxx and RP, must get to the bottom of this deadly crime, all while trying to protect a key witness, and keep a lid on the town's simmering violence.
